Free Friday Flicks - Pensacola Beach’s Family Summer Movie Series
Free Friday Flicks show for Aug. 22 is cancelled, however, Free Friday Flicks will feature movies on Friday, Aug. 29 and Saturday, Aug. 30 instead.
Remember when you were a kid, and on a beautiful summer night the whole family would pack up and head to the local drive in? We do, and we’re recreating that memory for the next generation of kids and families. Mediacom, Soft Rock 94.1 and 102.7-WXBM are bringing Free Friday Flicks back to Pensacola Beach Fridays, from July 25 to August 29 at the Gulfside Pavilion.
The event will turn the pavilion area into a Beachside Drive In and show family movies for six consecutive Friday nights. The weekly movie begins around 8 p.m., once the sky is dark enough to show the feature on the nine-foot by 12-foot screen. All movies will be family features.
"We will be happy when we see kids wide-eyed sitting in the parents laps enjoying a movie on the most beautiful beach in the world," said Doug McAllister, president of Fun Coast Promotions. "It’s free, it’s fun -- it’s for the entire family!"
Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the pavilion area. No pets are allowed and glass is prohibited.
